Police Unable to Catch Armed Robbery Suspect

An armed robbery suspect at a Thousand Oaks local hotel was able to avoid police Sunday night.

At approximately 10:00 p.m., a 23 year-old Woodland Hills man reported that he was robbed of his cell phone and cash at gunpoint by a male at the Palm Garden Hotel on North Ventu Park Road.

Responding officers noticed a man matching the description of the robber. The man fled and was pursued with the assistance of K-9 and helicopter. He was not apprehended and is still considered to be at large.

A spokesperson for the department said there was no new information as of this morning.
