Do You Want to be a Writer?
October 6, 2010
365 Network runs a growing group of local news websites and is seeking freelance reporters, primarily on a per-assignment basis. Take a look at this site to get an idea of what we’re all about.
Our articles range from local crimes to politics to interesting things going on around town. We try not to publish too much of the local boring meeting stuff because it’s, well, boring. We’re a little lighter than the L.A. Times, but we’re not snarky and we’re not bloggy.
We looking for people who live in the Calabasas through Ventura area to report for us. You need to care about the news, understand current events, write well and have a professional demeanor. You’ll be our face to the community and that’s important to us.
We offer regular assignments via e-mail, which you can accept or not. Fees range from $50 up, depending on what’s needed.
Some stories can be done via a few phone interviews, while others will need you to go to an event. In the latter case, being able to shoot photos is an added benefit. We’re mostly about print, but sometimes need video as well.
If you’re interested, please send a resume to info@365network.com and we’ll contact you. Thanks!
