Fire Chief to Run for Office

Ventura County Fire Chief Bob Roper announced that he will run for a seat on the Ventura County Board of Supervisors.
Roper, 55, will be the first declared candidate for the 1st District seat.
Other candidates believed to be considering a run are political aid Brian Brennan and Former Ventura mayor Richard Francis.
The election will be held June 5.
