T.O. Man Dies in Car Crash

A 20 year-old man from Thousand Oaks was killed after crashing his car into a tree next to a freeway onramp in Westlake Village.

Steven Everett Seery was driving alone southbound on Lindero Canyon Road near Highway 101 at 3:00 a.m. when lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree.

Seery was trapped inside his vehicle until rescued. He later died of his injuries at the scene.

The onramp was closed for almost six hours during the crash investigation.
